GREEN

So to be completely honest, green is not my personal favorite. Kinda nuts as I am 100% Irish. I guess it reminds me of my Catholic school uniform. That said, I do love designing with a green palette. And I love looking out a green landscape, whether its the lush tropical foliage outside a Maui window or the acres of green on a well manicured golf course. Its settles me and creates a sense of calm. Green is synonymous with nature. It actually defines how you bring the outdoors in. And in my opinion, no design is complete regardless the color scheme if there is not some hint of nature in the room with some green foliage.

You will see lots of green these days. Could be in the kitchen (love green cabinets!), or in furniture finishes, or just fabrics, bedding, and upholstery. All capitalizing on the trend to incorporate nature indoors. Here’s some ideas of how to do a bedroom using MadeGoods fantastic JARDIN nightstand in Moss Faux Belgian Linen. I incorporated natural wovens - also on trend - lots of white, and some fun pieces to round out a distinctive guest room.
